Persistent redness across the cheeks and nose
The concern

Facial redness can appear as temporary flushing, persistent background colour, visible vessels or skin that feels hot, sensitive and reactive.

Rosacea is a chronic medical skin condition and must be diagnosed by an appropriately qualified medical practitioner.

neoSKiN can support suitable cosmetic concerns associated with redness, but treatment begins with understanding the pattern, triggers and condition of your skin. We will recommend medical review when symptoms need diagnosis or prescription management.

What shapes the plan.

What can facial redness look like?

You may notice:

  • Flushing after heat, exercise, alcohol, spicy food or stress
  • Persistent redness across the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead
  • Small visible capillaries
  • Stinging, burning or increased sensitivity
  • Dryness or a compromised skin barrier
  • Breakout-like bumps alongside redness

These signs can have different causes. A treatment designed for isolated capillaries may not be right for generally inflamed or highly reactive skin.

A barrier-first assessment

We review your current products, known triggers, previous treatment and whether your skin is stable enough for in-clinic care. When the barrier is compromised, simplifying home care and reducing irritation may be the first priority.

If your symptoms suggest rosacea or another medical condition, we may recommend assessment by a GP or dermatologist before cosmetic treatment.

Treatment options for visible redness

Depending on suitability, a plan may include:

  • LED light therapy as a gentle option within plans for visible inflammation and skin recovery
  • BBL BroadBand Light for eligible clients with diffuse redness or selected visible vessels
  • Neo Facials adapted to support hydration and barrier comfort
  • Professional home care chosen to minimise unnecessary fragrance, irritation and over-exfoliation

The aim is to reduce the appearance of redness and support more comfortable skin. Cosmetic treatment does not cure rosacea or prevent all future flushing.

Managing triggers and maintaining progress

Triggers differ between individuals. Keeping a simple record of flushing episodes may help identify patterns involving weather, heat, food, alcohol, exercise, stress or products.

Daily broad-spectrum SPF and a gentle routine can help protect sensitive skin. Introduce active products only with appropriate guidance.

FAQs
Can neoSKiN diagnose rosacea?

No. Rosacea is a medical condition requiring diagnosis by an appropriately qualified practitioner. We can assess cosmetic concerns, support the skin barrier and provide suitable treatments within our scope.

Can BBL cure rosacea?

No. BBL may reduce the appearance of redness or visible vessels in suitable clients, but it does not cure rosacea. Ongoing management and medical care may be needed.

Is a facial safe when my skin is reactive?

It depends on the condition of your skin that day. A facial can be adapted, postponed or replaced with gentler care. Avoid booking an aggressive treatment without assessment.

What should I stop using if my skin is irritated?

Do not make major changes based on generic advice alone. Bring your current routine to consultation so your clinician can identify likely irritants and preserve products that are supporting your barrier.
